Completed Project – Kangaroo Point

We were thrilled to be Working with Brisbane City Council to deliver another sustainable and quality public space, Known as Kangaroo Point, Main Street Boulevard.

The project situated between main street and Shafton Avenue was underpinned by safety and ensuring the highly visible space was delivered to design intended by council. The street enhancement project required Glascott Landscapes and Civil to provide sustainable components of planting waterwise, shade producing through street trees and a green garden to be enjoyed by the public.

The horizontal land includes a large feature banyan fig surrounded by 15 new trees. The installation of large leaf Corten Sculptures is a highlight of this public space, as the sunlight shines through the shadows of the leaf sculptures.

Glascott Landscape and Civil worked closely with council on refining the design to ensure the best outcome for the community. Importantly, we ensured minimal disruption to the road operations and users while delivering the project efficiently and safely to the desired outcome.
