Glascott Landscape & Civil were engaged to deliver the first project at Western Sydney Airport, the Western Sydney Airport International Experience Centre. The centre features interactive displays and will be used to host events such as project milestones, media briefings & ministerial events, and a viewing area for visitors to watch the new airport come to life.

Designed to blend with the local surrounds, the landscape construction scope included structural and aesthetic components, and the reconstructing Eton Road Road to Liverpool Council specifications.  As the first example of the new airport’s identity, the focus was on delivering the project on time and to the quality expected of a world-class international airport.

Key Deliverables:

  • Site Enabling Works (clear fence lines and Level pads for site sheds and amenities)
  • Environmental controls including silt fencing, diversion swale and temp detention basin
  • Construct temporary construction road
  • Bulk excavation to subgrade level & remove spoil.
  • Detail excavation for buildings and retain walls
  • Complete civil package including drainage
  • Service trenches for all trades
  • Road pavements, line marking, kerb & gutters, traffic sign, etc.
  • Reconstruction Eton Road to council specification.
  • Pedestrian pavements
  • Soft landscaping including soil amelioration
  • Hard landscaping including block retaining walls, feature Corten steel feature walls, concrete & decorative paths
  • Design & construct irrigation and pumps
  • 52 Weeks maintenance
