The Landscape Association Master Series

This month The Glascott Group hosted the Landscape Association’s inaugural Masters’ series event at our Lane Cove head office.

Sponsored by Andreasens Green Wholesale nurseries, our team shared our key insights gain from over the three decades of industry experience and sustained growth.

Our Executive Chairman, Matthew Glascott delivered a keynote, covering structuring of growth, new markets, targeting contracts, risk management, hiring the right people, and the many lessons learnt. Matthew stated, “We focussed on building our reputation for quality, reliability and a can-do approach, and I believe this is the reason we’ve been part of some of Australia’s most significant and iconic landscape projects.” Matthew enjoyed sharing his experiences and hopes younger businesses in the industry gained a greater insight into the hard work, strategy and processes that contribute to creating successful commercial landscaping business.

A panel discussion followed, featuring the Sydney Metro Northwest project team, including Andrew Ewington from Hassell Studio, Darren Mason and Tim Carroll from Andreasens Green, Murray Fraser from Benedict Sand & Gravel, Daniel Badger and Glascott Landscape & Civil. Moderated by The Glascott Group’s Matthew Tancred, the panel discussed what it takes to deliver one of Australia’s largest and most successful public infrastructure projects. The audience gained insights from the collaboration between key industry leaders with the opportunity to ask questions.

The evening was finished by woodfire pizzas cooked on site, drinks, and lots of chat as members who attended got the opportunity to catch up or meet in the grass courtyard. We were thrilled to work with the landscape association to deliver an insightful event for all involved.
